Our Innovative Landscaping Project

In an increasingly urbanized world, the importance of green spaces cannot be overstated. At Avenues São Paulo, this significance is acknowledged and celebrated through a groundbreaking landscaping project that connects nature and education. In collaboration with landscaper Ricardo Cardim, we recreated Brazilian biomes within our campus, fostering invaluable learning opportunities for our students.

The fusion of landscaping expertise with educational vision resulted in unique experiences for our students beyond the classroom. From the lush foliage of the Atlantic rainforest to the arid landscapes of the Cerrado, each recreated biome at Avenues São Paulo is a testament to Brazil's biodiversity and a living laboratory for exploration and discovery. 

One of the project's main objectives is to provide students with experiences that deepen their understanding of the natural world. By immersing them in diverse ecosystems, the project catalyzes curiosity and fosters a sense of stewardship for the environment. Students are encouraged to observe, interact, and reflect upon the flora and fauna that inhabit these recreated biomes, thereby forging a meaningful connection with their surroundings.

Moreover, the pedagogical benefits extend beyond mere observation. Avenues São Paulo integrates the landscaping project into its curriculum, weaving themes of ecology, sustainability and conservation in an interdisciplinary way. 

Furthermore, our project is a platform for environmental advocacy within the school community and beyond. Through initiatives such as native plant propagation in the "pracinhas" and public spaces around the school, biodiversity awareness projects, and nature literacy camps, our students obtain a sense of responsibility toward the preservation of Brazil's rich natural heritage.                                                            

In essence, Avenues São Paulo's landscaping project represents a testament to the transformative power of integrating nature into education. By reimagining the school grounds as living classrooms, enriched with the biodiversity of Brazilian biomes, we have created an environment where students thrive academically and develop a profound appreciation for the natural world.
